repost and kudos we loath Madigans support in IL. not their own pockets?

As we prepare to welcome in a new year of championing a freer Illinois, let’s not forget how far we came in 2015.
This year, we:
Weakened Illinois House of Representatives Speaker Mike Madigan’s power over Illinois. Despite Madigan’s efforts to remove Gov. Bruce Rauner from negotiations with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and to replace the governor with a panel of unelected, union-friendly arbitrators, Madigan failed. We demonstrated how the passage of Senate Bill 1229 would be detrimental to taxpayers and Illinois’ comeback.
Fought against powerful unions and helped thousands of Illinois home-based caregivers and child care providers exercise their right to say “no” to union membership. As a result, caregivers kept nearly $5.4 million more of their hard-earned money this year, instead of filling union coffers with it.
Debunked progressive rhetoric about Illinois’ economy. While Madigan & Co. has consistently spun misinformation about Illinois’ economic situation, calling Rauner’s reforms extreme and inessential, we worked with local and national media to demonstrate that Illinois is in desperate need of reform. We forced Madigan to defend his failing record and policies, which have harmed the middle class.
2015 has been a pivotal year for Illinois taxpayers. And all of it was made possible by the support of thousands of Illinoisans like you.
As you consider your year-end giving, I hope you’ll choose to support the Illinois Policy Institute with a gift of $15, $35 or even $100.
Illinois’ comeback is on the horizon, and with your important contribution, we’ll make even more progress in 2016.
Join us as we write the next chapter of Illinois’ comeback story.
