Are we better off now than we were under Governor Jim Edgar?

Davin, They say the ultimate source of credibility is what some call “testable credentials.” In other words, see for yourself that what I am saying is true. The ultimate example of this was in 1980 when Ronald Reagan challenged voters in a debate with then-President Jimmy Carter, saying, “Ask yourself: Are you better off than you were four years ago?” So I ask you: Are we better off now than we were in the 1990s under Jim Edgar? As I fly around the state today in the 2nd day of my statewide tour with Governor Edgar, that is the question I am asking voters. I am honored to have his endorsement. As Governor Edgar’s Chief of Staff, I saw firsthand how his leadership made Illinoisans much better off. While times have changed and the challenges look different, the solution is the same. We need a proven, tested fiscal conservative who can right the ship and Make Illinois Work Again. Illinois cannot afford another 4 years of Pat Quinn. This state needs a leader who has proven they can get things done for families, businesses and seniors throughout Illinois. I will be that Governor if you would entrust me with your vote.
