Davin,
They say the ultimate source of credibility is what some call “testable credentials.” In other words, see for yourself that what I am saying is true. The ultimate example of this was in 1980 when Ronald Reagan challenged voters in a debate with then-President Jimmy Carter, saying, “Ask yourself: Are you better off than you were four years ago?”
So I ask you: Are we better off now than we were in the 1990s under Jim Edgar?
As I fly around the state today in the 2nd day of my statewide tour with Governor Edgar, that is the question I am asking voters. I am honored to have his endorsement. As Governor Edgar’s Chief of Staff, I saw firsthand how his leadership made Illinoisans much better off.
While times have changed and the challenges look different, the solution is the same. We need a proven, tested fiscal conservative who can right the ship and Make Illinois Work Again.
Illinois cannot afford another 4 years of Pat Quinn. This state needs a leader who has proven they can get things done for families, businesses and seniors throughout Illinois. I will be that Governor if you would entrust me with your vote. Please, go vote for the Dillard Tracy ticket so we can make Illinois a destination economy once again.
